Did you know that certain oils contain naturally occuring SPF properties? Crazy, right? I formulated this balm butter with only oils that contain these properties. Here is what I have found about the ranges occuring...
Shea Butter SPF 5-6 Coconut Oil SPF 6-10
Avacado Oil SPF 4-8 Carrot Seed Oil SPF 28-40
Myrrh Essential Oil SPF 15
(not used in this product) Raspberry Seed Oil SPF 28-50
and of course non-nano zinc oxide SPF 20-40
I thought it's nice to know I am probably getting some kind of protection without "technically even trying", I don't use a regular SPF daily product. But ALSO, this product makes your skin feel amazingly smooth and hydrated, this is a great formula. Definitely LOTS of winning happening with this product without trying hard.
UPDATE: I have been loving this to help with my winter dry skin. I like to use it as a face night cream, and when I wake in the morning my skin is so soft and nourished.
Sunny & Shea Whipped Balm
size: 2 oz
ingredients: Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Avacado Oil, Carrot Seed Oil, Essential Oils: Lemongrass, Myyrh, Rosemary, Lavender
benefits: Moisturizing, Healing, Protective. Contains naturally occuring SPF found in the Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Avacado Oil, Carrot Seed Oil, and the Myrrh essential oil. *Note I do not claim a specific SPF because I am not having this tested. So If you tend to rely on other sun protection- My suggestion is to test this first before assuming it will give ALL the protection needed.
